Two area lakes and a river provided nesting for the first stagecoach stop on the networks of cattle trails moving cowboys and cattle from San Antonio to Missouri and beyond. The Stagecoach Inn is the longest and most colorful continuous running hotel in the state's history. Frequented by herders and desperados, the registration book also includes some of Texas' most famed citizens. More: Links
